The Lake District is famous world wide as an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are many well trodden walks right on our doorstep. A brisk 20 minute climb and you can be at the summit of Latterbarrow the local high point, which has an excellent views of the surrounding Fells. A short 10 minute walk and you can be on the shore of Lake Windermere; quiet now there is a lake traffic speed limit of 10 miles per hour.The nearest shops are in Hawkshead 2 miles away and Ambleside 3 miles away. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of a village uncluttered by public houses or shops..........
